Joined the Labour Dept through the KAS exam in the year 1980. Worked as a Labour Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Deputy Labour Commissioner, Joint Labour Commissioner. After serving for 32 years retired in the year 2012 as CEO of Karnataka Construction Workers Welfare Board. Also, worked as General Manager (HRD & Admin), Mysore Paper Mills, Bhadravati, a Govt of Karnataka undertaking. An industrial relations strategist, labour and wage code expert and coach, with expertise in domestic enquiry, standing orders, and labour law. He has also conducted more than 200 training programs, webinars on labour codes, POSH Act, contract labour, domestic enquiry. Vasanthkumar has also worked as a resource person at V.V. Giri National Labour Institute, various business schools, workshops, and seminars.
